MCS UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMThe Management Computer Systems (MCS) Program at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater supports two undergraduate programs, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) through the College of Business and Economics or a Bachelor of Science (BS) through the College of Letters and Sciences.
Management Computer Systems courses are taught by faculty in course sections of less than 35 students. More details about course content, requirements and prerequisites are available by clicking on the course number above. The BBA degree gives students a significant business background in addition to their information systems classes. The BS degree is targeted at students who have a specific area in which they would like to minor or want more mathematics, science, or computer science content as part of their MCS degree. Program Objectives:
Unique Multi-Disciplinary ProgramThe MCS program brings together faculty from the Mathematical and Computer Sciences Department and the Information Technology/Business Education Department to give students both a good technology foundation and an understanding of business processes and structures. Cooperative Studies ProgramMany students continue to be placed in the MCS Co-op Program, which offers students "real world" experience in the information systems area of an approved firm. For more information about co-op requirements and benefits see the Internship and co-op page. |
