The Master of Business Administration program (M.B.A.) degree program is designed for individuals who find themselves at a point in their careers where continued professional development requires a refined understanding of management and working knowledge of multiple functions and processes within organizations. Students complete Common Body of Knowledge and Breadth courses and courses from the IT Management emphasis area. See courses.

The IT Management Emphasis is designed to further the career of information systems professionals with technical backgrounds by preparing them to effectively manage technology, systems projects and IT personnel.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Median annual earnings of these managers in 2004 was $92,570. Entry level CIS Managers can expect to earn between 52 and 56,000/year according to a NACE (National Association of Colligiate Employers) survey in 2005.

FACULTY

The teaching faculty of the IT Emphasis area also teach in the award winning undergraduate MCS program named the top four year computing program in the nation seven times by the Association of Information Technology Professionals.
